Annual Meeting
PALMCOP holds an annual meeting/workshop every year in the Fall. In the past topics have included preservation of audio-visual materials, disaster planning and risk management.
Rags Back to Riches: Textile Conservation & Environmental Monitoring

Patricia Ewer is the principal of Textile Objects Conservation in Minneapolis, MN. She is a conservation professional with 30+ years experience treating textiles and managing, developing and staffing conservation projects. She will present a lecture and two hours of hands-on demonstration.
Gina White and Robert Ryals of Winthrop University’s Louise Pettus Archives & Special Collections will present a session on collecting environmental data in storage areas to allocate resources.
$30 for lunch & sessions PALMCOP & SCFM members only

Due to the hands-on nature of the workshop, this annual meeting will be limited to 50 (excluding PALMCOP Board).
The PALMCOP Board meeting will be held during lunch.

PALMCOP organizes and sponsors a broad variety of educational opportunities for its membership. These programs and services are made available at modest cost. Services include an annual meeting on relevant conservation or preservation topics, workshops on preservation practices, access to environmental monitoring equipment, membership communications including a web site and blog.

A. Standing Committees
Combine the Publications and Newsletter Committees and title the new committee, the Information Committee. The following describes its responsibilities:
This committee identifies topics of interest to the membership and is responsible for the blog, brochures, website and all other PALMCOP publications. This committee also announces workshops, annual meetings, and notes any new publications.

The Nominations Committee offers to the PALMCOP Membership these candidates as District Representatives. If elected, their terms of service as District Representatives will end in December 2009. Each person currently serves as District Representative and has agreed to continue to serve PALMCOP in this capacity for an additional two year term of service.
